I am buying a 10 gallon tank today and I will soon be in need of a light fixture that is 20" long. I was thinking about power compacts because I don't think they make T5s that small. Please let me know. Thanks.

Worse case you could get 24" T5's on a light rack and a little light would spill over the side. I think anyone would be much happier with T5's intesnity and ability to mix and match color spectrums.

I agree. I loved my Tek 5s I used to have. Thanks for the info.

I actually found an 18" fixture that is a dual bulb fixture with a total of 40 watts. I think it will work just fine.
