I used to live in Corpus a few years ago and now I'm back. I had my 40 gallon breeder full of coral destroyed by Ike so I went freshwater for the last year. I can honestly say I got bored with freshwater. :) Looking to hook up with fellow saltwater aquarists in Corpus and get my 10 gallon nano tank going. I will need the following:
-nano koralia
-20" light fixture
-live sand
-10-15 lbs. of live rock
-Saltwater test kit
-heater
-anything else you think

I am buying a 10 gallon from Aggman and I just bought a wood stand from Aquarium Masters. Email me or call me dfowlks@grandecom.net

Dana,

If there's anything you need from SA, just let me know. We make the run almost every weekend, and it seems like Aquarium Masters is becoming a regular Friday night stop on the way to the boat!

I agree that AM has probably the most complete selection of the fish stores in Corpus, but FYI, Dr Mark and them have some really nice pieces of live rock, both small and large, that has been curing for a while.

I only shop at AM and GC Reef in Corpus Christi, but with all my other posts, I have to give specials props to Dr Mark at GC Reef for the thorough mentoring and education in this hobby, he has turned me into a SWA freak!

The best thing is both stores are right next to each other, less than mile, go visit both, totally different atmosphere and focus, you will enjoy both!

I used to live in Kingsville. What kind of coral do you have in your tank?

Dana,

I just re-read your post and I purchased a brand new API SW test kit at the beginning of August (think it retails for around $50), but I just purchased a big deluxe testing kit for more thorough testing.

I will sell you my former test kit for $20 if you would like...it is barely used and perfect for your needs. I actually took it up to GC Reef so it will be there awaiting you if you want it. Just give the $20 to whoever is at GC Reef to my attention.

Hope I can help!

Michael

So I now have Nano koralia, light fixture, test kit, heater. All I will need is the live sand and live rock. I can probably go buy some sand at Aquarium Masters but I don't want to buy live rock at $6 a lb. Please if anyone has any to spare let me know. Thanks.

Diego,
If you come on by to GC Reef tomorrow, I'll be there from 11-3, and Dr Mark or James will probably be there later on in the afternoon. If you didn't get a chance to stop by today, definitely stop by tomorrow, we do have some nice pieces of live rock as Michael said, as well as your testing kit.

Diego, let me know what you decide. You've got first dibs, but there are others that would like it too.
