hey guys i was perusing another reef forum and came across this pic of a beautiful coral, but no one there knew what it was. or at least no one had posted it. so i was hoping someone here could tell me...

looks like a cup coral (pagoda or something similar, unless it has branches)

yeah i was thinking turbinaria. but the growth pattern is off. i dunno.

I say cup coral as well. Well, maybe a short rimmed rim coral? I can find any pics of them online, but I have one in my tank. I'll snap a pic.

Justin has one that looks similar. Justahobby.
His is a pagoda cup. I think that's what this is, but it definitely has a mature growth pattern. Very cool.

Scrolling or ruffled variety of a turbinaria sp. I have the yellow version and been veery happy with the colors and hardiness, but the one you found is stunning :applause::hypnotyized:. Mainly relying on photosynthesis, they will eat small foods but take a long time to consume mysis, etc. Some quick googling brought these up:
