Anyone have any information concerning the cow fish? I've read just about everything I could find on these guys and have seen the negative and positive side to keeping them, but I can't seem to find anything to explain sponge bob's latest appearance.

You know he has two horns in the front. I startled him one night about two weeks ago while feeding the corals and he ran into two glass panes... honestly didn't think he could swim that fast.

Here's the deal, yesterday I thought his horns were just peeling (something I've seen in the LFS and pictures online). This morning I got a good luck at him and it appears that his horns are developing buds that are strangly deer-like.

Anyone know if this will develop into a nice eight point rack? The only thing I've changed is that I recently started dosing Kalk. Could the extra calcium be causing this?

As soon as my errant daughter wakes I will have her take some pictures that show its horns... if she wakes...

HAHAHA you have a male cow fish, really I dont know, but it looks cool, and yes I had Moo( the giant cow fish) for at least 3 years, now the other Jose(z28pwr) has him.

coolest fish IMHO, he would eat out of my hand, and yes they are fast swimmers.

dont worry the more the horns the funnier they look

nice fish

Mr. Moo is so funny. His Horns are also a little funny. One is growing to the side and the other one straight up. He is a very fast swimmer. He is very friendly as long as you don't mess with his food. The only one he hates is our 2" cleaner wrasse.

Nice cow fish.

What other fish do you guys have him with? I would like one but thought there were problems keeping them.

Mr. Moo is in a tank full of tangs and puffers. He eats one whole medium shrimp everyday.

Sponge bob hates our cleaner wrass as well. I enjoy the way he shivers and backs up when the wrass is about.

We have three tangs, one bi-color blenny, one scooter, one cardinal... I think that's it. Oh, and four chromis. One cleaner shrimp. That's it.
