September MAAST Meeting

MAAST would like to announce the September Meeting with Peter Kordelski respectfully known as Ping. Peter's presentation will be:

"Maintaining Water Quality and Ionic Balance in a Reef Aquarium, from start-up to preventing many long term problems."

The Meeting will be held at Bass Pro Shop in San Antonio from 2-4 pm on September the 20th.. There will be an Open BOD Meeting following the presentation. We welcome all to attend.

Sorry, trying to locate another Venue in SA, Saturdays at Bass Pro are saved for Hunters Education classes....they also allow us to utilize their Conference Room for free, hard to beat that....

Yes, you can sign-up for a 3 min slot. We had to limit the time allotted as to allow as many as possible in the time allowed by Bass Pro Shop.

Please sign-up here with you name and topic. We will be glad to put as many members on the agenda as time will allow. We have an hour and will have 10- 3 min slots. The remaining time will be for rebuttal or comments from the BOD.

Hey all,
There has been a slight change of plans regarding the Open BOD meeting. The date of the 20th conflicted with preexisting commitments of a few BOD members, myself included, and we all want to and need to be in attendance. We have decided to hold this open BOD meeting the First weekend in October. This way, everyone has plenty of notice to attend and we will have a 2 hour session, instead of one hour.

So, Mike and I would be interested in attending both meetings, the Ping presentation and the BOD open meeting. Will both meetings be moved to October or just the Open BOD meeting? And also, do you have more specifics for actual date / time / place? Thanks for the updates. -Kristy

sorry about that. Yes, the September meeting will remain unchanged. As for the October open BOD meeting, we are awaiting confirmation from the venue and will announce it ASAP.

It will be an awesome meeting. Peter is one knowledgeable dude and one great speaker.

Just a reminder to all members. The September meeting to be held on the 20th will not include an Open Bod Forum as originally planned. In an effort to ensure that all BOD's are present the meeting has been moved to October. We will post an announcement with an exact date later.

If there are issues that you have that can not wait until this future date, please do no hesitate to contact a BOD member of your choice and voice your concerns. Please remember to send any correspondence to at least two [2] BOD's, just in case one is not available to respond in a timely manner.
