To all the Teachers: Now that school is about to start, what do you need donated for your classrooms. Equipment (tank, pumps, FW stuff), Supplies (salt, food, etc), Corals, fish, monies.
Let us know- salt of freshwater.
Lets teach our children to appreciate the care of animals.
David, Ace S, anyone else.
I have Corals and some equipment.

I maintain a 75g Cichlid tank at my school (Volma Overton Elementary - AISD).
My wish list would include: Prime, Spirulina, Spectrum, Air stones, and plastic plants. Would love to add a male Red Empress or other colorful peacock and/or a few Daffodil Brichardi..............

Thanks Ping for setting this up again. I have had the pleasure of teaching lots of students about our hobby through my tank in my classroom. Many of them have become addicts of the hobby (like we are), but they get to start with a good knowledge base, unlike many of us did.
All of the frags Ping and others (can't remember names right now) donated to my classroom were grown-out throughout the year and donated to students that have joined the hobby and set up their own tanks at home. So....if anyone can help, I could use
1. Frags of whatever...gsp, shrooms, even sps
2. Old bulbs you plan on pitching or have been in your garage. 250W se, 400w se
3. Salt
4. I'd be willing to pay (out of my pocket) for a cheap, big, ugly, scratch and dent, tank to upgrade from our 40 gallon.
You know us teachers, anything else you may think is worthless, we could probably find a use for it.

i am in the process of reworking the display tank in my class in preparation for a shift in the way i have the students use the classroom student tanks. i will be donating the large predator fish to the SA zoo and making the display tank into a reef. i will move all existing corals in student tanks to that tank but will need more coral and will also need reef compatible fish. timing on this will depend on how fast the zoo donation process proceeds. any frags/corals/fish that you would like to donate would be greatly appreciated and can be taken any time as i have the student tanks that can be used for holding tanks temporarily.
i will also have some equipment that has been donated to me that i will not have a need for. i will possibly offer that up for trade for things i need or for donations to buy what i need in the near future.
thanks again for bringing this up peter.

Hey Ace, or any other teachers (it's just easier getting with Ace since he lives so close). It may not be much but I have some regular old green candy cane, hairy mushrooms that are multiplying like crazy. Maybe even a head of frogspawn.
Not sure of the direction you are going but let me know.
