Ever need to contact them? They seem to be really helpfull on RC.

I've got a dead wave driver on a mp40w (flashing red light). Because it's my own stupid fault, this won't be a warranty issue. I'm hoping they can send me a new circuit board.

Sorry, should have clarified.

Does anyone have firsthand experience dealing with them?

Hey Cory -

No, not yet... but I agree that they seem impressively conscientious with the service on RC.

Please keep us informed on what happens with your attempts. We also may need to contact them on a part in the future. -Kristy

Yes, I have had two experiences with them. The first was when Icecap did their service. Sent the thing and received a new one. Last week had a power supply failed, shipped the same day as I called. Shipping price are a little high for two day, but when you need it, you need it.

Just spoke with Eric on product support. Very little hold time on the phone. Very nice and helpful.

He pointed out possible damage that may have occurred to the motor, so I'm sending the whole unit in for testing. I should know something later this week.

Hose cam loose from the main pump and the pump sprayed water towards the wall where my controller was mounted. Shorted out the control board. Kind of a freak accident, but I should have known better.

Sent off pump and controller today. Wanted to send it earlier, but had to wait until pay day.

Used this excuse to purchase another mp40 which arrives early next week. Can't wait to have them both working so I can sync them up together.

They are great to deal with. Turn around time is very short.

Vortech service (Tim/Stephen) is great. I sent both of my Vortech pumps back for service in the last couple week and sent a driver back this week too. They took care of me well. Now i just hope the pumps are more reliable:)

Wow, what can I say about these guys that hasn't already been said! Great support and fast service. Even though this wasn't a warranty issue, Tim and Eric made me a deal on a new control board and even paid the return shipping! Now to decide if my wife's tank gets the 2nd mp40 or do I set up both on my tank?!?!
