i have now had my tank cycling for the past 3 months, it is a 210gal (72 x 24x 29T) mixed reef with lots of SPS frags, some LPS, zoas, palys, and a few softies , but i know that i will eventually be needing a Calcium Reactor but have ABSOLUTELY no clue as to what i need, to look for when buying one (i.e...ph probe, media, pumps, cylinder type, size...etc.) and want to see what you guys recommend.....thanks for ur time and suggestions.

Man, thats a broad question. Theres tons of them out there along with a boatload of information... They all basicly do the same thing, just depends on how much you want to spend and how elaborate you want to get... Im fixing to install one on my 65 and it uses a 5 pound cylinder, Milwuakee guages/selenoid switch and holds about 12 pounds of media. Search online, theres all kinds of info...

here is the one i use http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem.aspx?category=_Saltwater_Aquarium_Calc ium_Reactors&vendor=D_D_The_Aquarium_Solution&idProduct=DD5111&IdCategory=FICRRA&child=DD5115&tab=5&option1=PF601
I got it from kingfish aquariums in austin. It is a very efficient unit. fluidised, bayonett top for easy loading. This unit doesnt really need a ph controller, but there is a port for one.A timer and a elec co2 solenoid is all you need. I run co2 to mine less than 3 hrs a day. I hear the aquabee pumps croak after awhile but mine has been going for quite awhile.

>>>what is the difference on the CO2 cylinder between the 5lbs/10lbs etc.... does it make a differrence or it just means that you can use it for longer periods of time....

>>>and is it possible to run a Calcium Reactor + Kalkwaser Reactor with the same water pump (as in a dual chambers)

correct, the larger tank has to be filled less often. I tapped my return line to feed the calcium reactor.I think the best way to feed a kalk reactor is thru your ato.I took my kalk reactor off line shortly after I got my calcium reactor. once I figured out the calcium reactor my levels stayed consistant so it wasnt necessary any more

if you are talking about a dual chamber calcium reactor, the second chamber is to scrubb off some of the co2 in the effluent so it is less likely to lower the tanks ph. I do not run a dual chamber reactor and am pretty aggressive with the co2 and flow rate. So ph drop has not been an issue for me

I personally like the geo's. I have used them for a long time and never had any problems. I would recommend the 624 for your tank.
