I'm looking to get help from someone using this method. Here's my problem. Since starting the Balling lite method about two months ago I've been slowly killing the tips of my sps. I know it's a result of the balling salts because the loss stopped and tips started to grow back during the week that I took my dosing pump off line. The day after I started dosing again the tissue loss started. So I thought maybe I had mixed the solutions too strong by accident so I dumped the old solutions and started over but I'm still killing the tips. Since I don't have scales I'm using 1/2 off a 1kg tub when it ask for 500g/5 liters of water. It would be helpful if someone could tell me how many cups to use per gallon of water. Thanks in advance.

I am getting ready to start. I have read about the same problem. You will have to go metric, i think. If you are using fauna marin, then you have to "stick" with their supplements. Another thing that I read is that you need to do a 10% water change weekly, which I am ready doing. I was going to try DT's first as its a lot cheaper.

Probably not the answer you want to hear but...
WalMart has inexpensive scales in the kitchen gadget area. I have both an analog and a digital scale from there. Each scale reads standard and metric units. Neither of them were very expensive.
I use my scale to measure out the salt when making a batch of water. Works out quite nicely for me.

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I'm off to Wally-world to get some scales. Thanks!

I gave up balling when I got married. But sometimes I still play pickup basketball, which I guess is balling also. So yeah, I still ball.
