The main fish I've ever had trouble getting to eat so far are mandarins and copperband butterfly's. When all other fish eat the food they have been the ones that dont want to eat it. Using a certain blend of food for a while, they wont eat it and get hungry, the speghitti worms aptasia pods bristleworms and other reef critters start running scarse then I throw a cube of bloodworms in. I finally witnessed my mandarin eating the blood worms and my copperband did for a good while before my tank crash a while back. Anyway, if anyone is having trouble with fish eating its worth a try. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the heads up, the two fish you mentioned are probably the most difficult to get to eat prepared food so it may be worth a try...

Thanks for the post. I offered bloodworms a few times to my mandarin. It wasn't until he accepted mysis that he turned into a bloodworm-aholic. They are now his preference so I can attest to them enjoying this food choice. I soak them in Selcon for added nutrition.

My dragonet goes for bloodworms as well. My return pump went out a few weeks ago while out of town and all the algea went septic, so I had to restock my fuge... Still waiting on the pods to grow in, but he is feeding off the rock in my display and also the frozen brine/bloodworm mix. As long as they dont look really skinny under the side fins, you are okay. You may not see them eating because they tend to hide, but that doesnt mean they arent eating.

I do the same. I use the smaller bloodworms and soak them in Selco and the Mandarins love them and seem to be gaining weight well with them.

I am glad others have had the same expierence as I have. I really hate to see beautiful fish suffer because their owners want their beauty but cant get them to eat. Good luck everyone! :)
