The Aquarium at Rockport Harbor is a free admission public marine aquarium run by a group of volunteers in collaboration with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (http://www.rockportaquarium.com/). We currently have 2500 gallons in display tanks and specialize in marine creatures obtained from local waters. Most of our specimens have been donated by fishermen or TPW biologists. After being open for two years, we have just logged our 30,000th visitor. Our technical staff is small and we are trying to attract other marine aquarists in the area to help us grow and obtain specimens. If anyone is interested, drop by and visit. We are located on the water at Rockport harbor. Contact Vance at vvorndam@yahoo.com

Better call or check their hours online. They are only open certain days of the week and certain hours if I remember correctly. They have a website with info.
I wanted to visit last year when I was visiting my grandparents in Rockport, but missed out because of their hours. Maybe I'll try again before the summer is over. I used to stay in Rockport/Fulton every summer when I was a kid and I remember visiting the original aquarium there that was on the dock. Then it starting sinking into the harbor and they had to close it!
