I visited the Rockport Aquarium this weekend and in talking to the volunteers they could use some help with getting specimen, live rock, and clean up crews. The aquarium is a free to the public and is strictly run by volunteers so if you are located in the area and would like to help they would appreciate it.

I'm sure some locals will be glad to help out. Did you direct them here?

The volunteers there are such sweet ladies. They loved my dogs and took pictures for their brochures because I was the first person to bring my dogs, and they wanted to emphasize their "pet friendliness" there. It was a cute place.

I haven't heard of this place and didn't find it on google. Any pet friendly place sounds great though does anyone have their address, phone number, or a web page?

We were just there this weekend too! Visited the maritime museum and the aquarium on Sat.
Limited hours, but very nice people indeed. They kept our two year old busy for a few minutes, so I could actually look at the tanks instead of following him around. Very deserving of this club's help.

Very cool. All those that live near there should donate something the the cause.

I have been there. They def need a tank the accurately represents the port aransas jetties. And more poster boards and information in general. Its a good start.

while i was there i spoke to one of the vol.staff and they need donated livestock for 1 but i notice their sumps could use some live rock and algae i think that could help their water quality. I have a very good friend that work for rockport water supply and he is the one that told me about the aquarium and that their ammonia levels were high. they do run an r/o unit but I don't know if they have skimmers. I an not that knowledgable to know what all they need those are just somethings i notice. I am willing to help in anyway.
