I have a 6100 that will run on pulse mode controlled by a 7091 for 30 minutes and then it shut off. I let it cool, plug it in and it works fine again. Im using it in a DIY wavebox.... Any ideas or experiences to share????
Thanks

Thermal shutdown? (Is it overheating?)
Don't know, just saying.

I got that, but how can I stop it? Is there a part that may be bad? What part? Can I put a fan on the transformer and electrical box to help?
Thanks

Get ahold of Roger on the RC Tunze forum. Although you are using the pump in a 'aftermarket' setup, he may still be able to help you out on replacement parts (if any are required). The fact you are using it in a DIY wavebox will kill any chance of warrenty or free replacements parts though.....
On a side note, how fast are you running the pulse? Have you considered slowing it down and seeing if the same problem repeats itself?

I am running it on the tunze 7091. The pulse time is around 1 sec. I see youtube videos and threads of others doing the same thing, but they arent having the problems I am. I sent Roger a PM yesterday with no reply. I may just try to call him Monday afternoon if I havent heard from him by then.
Thanks

Dustin just take it to Aquatek and let them handle it. Warranty or not, repairing your unit is still the cheapest option.

Clint I will get it repaired if needed, Im starting to wounder if maybe this is a controller issue. That controller Tunze uses(6091) on the wavebox shut the pump off completely. The controller Im using only(7091) can only slow the pump down to 30%. I think this may be working the pump to hard, causing the heat issue. Im not running the setup until I get this figured out. I dont wont to cause any damage to the equipment. I have only had it shut off this one time while testing so hopefully someone on here or RC can help....
Thanks!
Dustin

I would clean the impeller with vinegar, there may be a buildup of deposits impeding the impeller when ramping back up.
