The tank is about 10wks old at this point and after a few mistakes, it's finally stable. I added some extra LR about a week ago and the tank accepted it pretty well. I added a sixline wrasse and sand sifting star today, even though you can't really see them in the pic. I'm going to give these guys a couple weeks and add a couple more small fish. A buddy of mine is going to give me a couple frags this weekend which will be my first try with coral. So far so good.

welcome to the nano forum!!!

first off i am glad to see your excellent choice of lr. i hate seeing nanos filled with oversized boulders that do nothing but leech phosphates. i think you are off to a great start.

and was this pic taken recently, at the 10wk mark? it looks very clean. have you completed your cycle or had any blooms? just wondering.

anyway welcome again, and happy reefing.

Pic was taken a couple of hrs ago. Tank has completely cycled, I have a pretty large CUC that keeps it spotless, and about a million copepods that are cleaning up anything and everything on the glass. I did have a few blooms earlier, but they seem to have stopped. Once I redid the filtration, that really seemed to help.

I have the same tank and was just curious what sort of cleanup crew you had.

Also how has the Six-line been doing? I have been thinking about getting a small one myself...

I went a little overboard. I'm probably going to be selling off an emerald crab, a couple of hermits and a sand sifting star if you're interested. I'm selling the star because it needs a bigger tank so I wouldn't recommend it.

Here is the tank as it sits now, I've lost a few things in the process, but everything for the most part is going well.

Wow, what kind of mushroom is that in the bottom center rock?

It's actually a mini carpet nem. It does look like a mushroom though.

Those pizza carpets are awesome. Perfect size for a small tank and much hardier than the reg. carpets.

Yup, it's the only thing in my tank that will go head to head to with my cyano and not lose. I just wish I could convince him to split.
