fully draining tank

Hello again,

I have one more question for yall.

Im trying to find info on where to get a 20ish gallon fully draining storage tank.
I am wanting to make a water change cart. Something I can pump my old water
into and then wheel it to the drain and just open a valve and forget about it
tell next time.
I would also like to have a 2nd one that i can use for fresh saltwater to just drain
into the sump. Right now im using two 20L G tanks, and its not much fun at all.

So i figured if i could find a eazer way to do water changes, it would keep me
doing them more often.

If you know of anything plz let me know. Thank you guys and gals so much.

If you want to fully drain a tank, you need a hole at the bottom. You should look into small rubbermaid, or plastic container, or a plastic garbage can. It is easy to put a bulkhead and put a ball valve into these container. Acrylic tank also works well because it is easyly drill-able (but expensive).
I just use a 5-6 g salt container to do water change in a small tank. In my 450 g tank, I have it set-up with its own drank and I just need to open a vale and discarded water go directily to the drain. For a large system, you just got to plan it out well.

i would suggest using a rubbermaid storage tote. the kind you find at walmart-very inexpensive. and plug in a bulkhead with ball valve as orionn said. that is the cheapest way i can think of. less than 50 bucks.

of course you could ask your lfs to order you one of those plastic containers with it already put together, but that would run you 75-150 bucks.

OMG, Thank you so much. You found just what i was looking for. I must have spent hrs looking yesterday and you found just want i wanted. Just goes to show you what a fresh pair of eyes can do, and find. I cant tell you how happy you have made me.

The reason this is going to be so great is because im in the army and im deployed to iraq, and my wife has to do water changes the hard way with buckets. I will be back at home for R & R the first week of July and will make this for her. She is going to be so happy to not have to carry it by hand anymore.

My wife and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
