There is a store that has a brand new perfecto tank with life time warrenty. It has been there so long they are telling me they have dropped it to 200 dollars below what they paid. Which is always skeptical but i really think they might not be exagerating very much. It is a 300 gallon with a starphire front. It has no overflow or anything but I want a freshwater discus tank to go along with my current saltwater reef. The measurements are 72x36x27 I believe. It comes with painted stand and canopy and glass top. For right under 2000 dollars I dont think this is a bad price, glass cages cant even beat it. plus lifetime warrenty. I really dont wanna blow the cash but It is a very roomy tank if i ever wanted to get a stingray or a shark with saltwater, and would make a hell of an amazon river for the moment. Thanks for looking!

it does have a marineland stand, with a marineland sticker, as well as a 300 starphire marineland printout, for an insert, on the tank... it looks like the real deal, the silicone is done very nicely and clean, looks like the other marineland aquariums I have purchased in the past, and without a doubt they do make all the same tanks, with and without the overflows..... are you sure about the overflow claim? I'm not tryin to knock ya it just dosnt sound right for some reason, anyway thanks for the input and the links bro, kudos!

i guess i could go to the shop, which is a reputable one, and call marineland and give the serial number and such and check on its warrenty to make sure its theirs.... i dunno how all that works though

none the less, after adding all this in the cart, the price seems right, its about exactly what they were asking for it over 1 and 1/2 years ago, and I think they've had it and another like it in there for 2 years at least, i used to live there and shop there.... If it is real, I probably should jump on it....

Warranties are sometimes dubious. The restrictions are sometimes pretty ugly. They generally do include some or all of the following:
You must install it on the manufacturer's stand (which you are doing)
You must install it per manufacturer's instructions
If it fails, you must prove that it failed because of workmanship - if you nicked a seam cleaning the glass, if you modified the tank in any way, etc.
You may have to return the tank to the manufacturer - that can get VERY pricey.
The warranty may not be transferable.
You may have to pay shipping for the replacement tank
If the company goes out of business, files bankruptcy, or is sold (they usually just buy the assets of the company, and leave liabilities like warranties behind)
The cost of a failed tank, in livestock and water damage, is usually a fraction of the cost of the tank. What do you do in the interum?
This is why when the tank we bought became available, we jumped on it ("brick" tank - no bracing of any kind, because it's a beast - 3/4" glass). I really, really didn't want a tank failure.
