is it in both rooms of the dunbar rec center? did we still get the residential rate since anthony is a resident? or did we qualify for the non profit rate?
just wondering how they came up with $760

Just curious, since you posted the original price, that doesn't match up with any of these prices.. great job on the new rate but seems like we were getting poked by someone

Mike, the '"ORIGINAL" cost was $60 per hour for the Frag Swap. The Christmas Party was going to be $520. I don't see where you can get the "poked" from.

that is why i was wondering, what about the non profit rate? i know last year we got the resident rate thru anthony. wow, $520 for the Christmas party? is that a higher holiday rate or something?

I called the City of SM this morning, spoke to my contact, who I have previously communicated with before. I asked her for the balance of the Frag Swap, so that I may bring a check to settle up. She then pulled our/my account, and stated, the fees that were owed. I told her we had a deposit of $100, on hold. She stated that we could get a lower rate on both, a $100 for the Frag Swap and $80 for the Christmas Party. Our deposit will carry over. I took her a check and picked up the keys....
I have never seen the price list you listed....never knew it existed. Thanks for posting it, now I will have it as a reference.....
Anyone wishing to help coordinate with the Meetings are more than welcomed.

dont get me wrong cheri, i am very glad that the rates are lower, i was just wondering how they came up with the figures that steve posted. i care for this organization and the people here just like you do and i would hate to see anyone take advantage of us.

Why turn this into a debate, just be happy the price was lowered and move on... sheesh... Let Cheri do her thing, it seems to be working...

We honestly don't know where those rates came from, as stated by Cheri, we have never seen that rate page. We just called to find out the balance and that was what was quoted. Maybe it was a clerical error or what, we don't know but we are glad this person was on duty today...

why not turn it into a debate if it could have cost the club $580 more than it should have?

Because it didnt... Plus, this insnt a debate thread. If you feel theres a reason to discuss the details involved, and you have every right to know, just Pm the people who are making this possible and affordable, I really dont feel this is the place . If there is someone out there attempting to take advantage of MAASt, Im sure it will be discovered and proper steps will be taken. So far, Im very impressed with the energy and time put into this and I see no reason, so far, to question the actions taken. This is all pretty new to us all and the best things come in little steps... Just be patient.

i am sorry, i dont have patience with $580 of other peoples money. you are right this isnt the place for this discussion and many others that will likely follow, so i will leave it at that.
i am still grateful for the time and effort that all of the people behind the scenes are putting forth.

Thank you Cheri for all the hard work you put into scheduling and coordinating. I appreciate the time it takes to make these functions run smoothly.
IMO, ANY debate should be handled by The Board in an official manner and in private.
If Cheri was designated to handle the coordination of this event, than we should either aprreciate how much time and effort she put in and accept her hard work - or someone else step up and offer her some help if they feel they can do things better.

The prices for the rooms are $30 and $60 / hour for non residents. Since she has already reserved for the Christmas party they were charging her for that as well. I am actually surprised they she got such a great deal. Way to get them o loosen the purse strings Cheri!!! Also if you ever want to see the rates go here and scroll to the bottom for fees

Thanks Anthony, wished I would have had knowledge of that link earlier. I would have asked for a better cost at time of placing the reservations.
