Below are the 3 skimmers I "think" are best for my biocube 29. Does anyone have a favorite they like, or maybe one I should get that's not even listed?

Tunze 9200 (I do know I need to dremel the hood a bit, but that's okay)
CPR SR3
Sapphire Aquatics BC29

I've seen complaints about microbubles with both the cpr and sapphire, but I haven't seen any complaints with the Tunze. I'm leaning towards the Tunze but not from personal experience, just by reading various forums. I'd like to order it this week so I can get it installed and dialed in before adding my first coral.

Thoughts or Suggestions?

I have the Sapphire skimmer for my solana tank. It works great. I have to empty the cup every 3rd day. I am unfamiliar with the biocube layout, but with the solana I don't get any microbubbles. One small problem I had was that it was sometimes hard to start when first plugged in. I took out the mesh impeller to trim the edges and that fixed the problem.

I have a really nice 6 month old Tunze Comline 9015 DOC skimmer for $50
210-860-2676 that would work great in your sump.

I just got one of the new Euro-Reef nano skimmers for my 30 gallon Finnex and I'm really impressed by it.

I would get the best for my tank, out of those three I would go with tunze. The euro reef sounds great, but my self I would go with a deltec because later on you can put it on a future tank and save you self money don't go cheap. I have done that mistake when I was first in the hobby, and I wouldn't want you to go through the same mistakes.

I went with the Sapphire Aquatics BC29. Crazyeyes, that is a good idea but I will be keeping the biocube as is and won't be moving it when I do upgrade. I plan on buying/making everything new for my next tank starting it on my birthday next April :-)

Sapphire makes a skimmer for the biocube 14 http://sapphireaquatics.com/onlinestore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=17

I don't know of anything though that would fit the 8, maybe someone else may know?
