Newb looking for help as this will be my first time running with sump/fuge.

Currently I'm looking for advice on a return pump and lining for a 75g tank with a 20Long sump/fuge.

The tank is drilled with a 1 drain (1.5")

I will have two koralia's in the tank. A koralia 3 (850gph) and a koralia 4 (1200gph)

So what would you guys/girls recommend for a return pump and line? Also if there is a place in S.A you can point me to so I can pick it up. I just put the last coat of stain on the stand and ready to get this thing rocking.

Are you planning on going with an internal pump or external? If you sump isn't already drilled it might be easier with internal.
Several to choose from and I'd go 500 GPH to 700 depending on hight it's going to have to pump to. If higher than 4', or more than one 90 degree bends I'd look at around 700GPH and dial it back if you need to with a ball valve.
Eheim first and Mag second would be my preference as far as pumps go.

Thanks for the info.

My sump is not drilled so it would be internal, as for the plumbing I would only think there would be one 90 degree near the return itself at the top of the tank. It will not be going any higher than 4'. So I was looking here at the for sale forum and saw someone is selling a mag 5 for $40, but was not sure if that would be enough.

What store around SA sells the flexible lining and returns?

When using the Lowes/HD tubing, buy the reinforced (has nylon braid in it). When using hose clamps, do NOT buy the ones from HD or auto stores. Buy them from a boating store. They are the same price, but the ENTIRE hose clamp, including the screw is stainless. The others will rust up in about a year - and they are a TOTAL pain to replace then.

Would there be an issue that my drain hose is 1.5" wide while my return would be 0.5 or 0.75" or so wide?

Also does any store in SA sell the return u-tubes with the directional flows similar to this
http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~FT0001.html (http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem%7EidProduct%7EFT0001.html)

Also I would assume I would need a bigger pump if I wanted to split the return line in a Y so I can have return flow in two different areas of the tank?
