Leather?

I know the pic is awful......but looking at the little guy with the stalk and polyps on top. I'm wondering if this guy is some sort of toadstool leather. It started out as just the polyps with green centers, but not the stalk has grown to about an inch.

LOL. I think it looks like a green polyp toadstool. I can visualize it clear...most of my photos would come out like this also LOL. I've pulled leather corals from rocks and they've started growing again with the remnants left behind. It starts off with polyps and then starts growing a stalk.
