I have a Carpenter's in the 75 right now with some smaller fish, Alleni damsel, Tomato clown, starry blenny. I'm thinking about adding another wrasse, but I'm not very educated on wrasses. This Carpenter's is my first. He's doing awesome. Obviously I want to add a compatible fish. Based on your experiences, any suggestions? Thanks!

most wrasses are fine with conspecifics, as long as the disparity in size is not too great. i am a big fan of the mccosker's, although looking at pictures you almost can't tell the difference between them.

I love wrasses and have several different type the only ones that i have that tend to chase the others are the ruby head fairy wrasse and my male Temminck's Fairy Wrasse.

I know they are fairly common, but I love my 6 line wrasse. He swims around a bunch and also eats any flatworms that pop up in my tank.

Lol......no way I'll ever put a six line in my tank again. When they go mean......watch out. I know I've heard some people say they have had docile six lines, but it's too risky in my opinion.

i have had about 3 sixlines throughout my aquarium adventures, never recall one that was mean.....always enjoyed watching them dart into the sand just before dark and then reemerging the next day.....mine were never mean, only suicidal.... 2 jumpers, dont rememebr the 3rd....its been awhile.....before i broke down my big reef tank, i had a yellow coriss wrasse and a blue cleaner wrasse....both were really cool....the yellow went suicidal also, and succeeded after about 3 times, they find the smallest place to get out of.....amazingly hardy out of water and sitting on carpet (resilent recovery) ....

wrasses are cool....so many choices....i always liked bird, lunars, and dragons too...but wasnt set up for them....good luck, and watch out, they like to jump

I saw a blue bird wrasse in a store that was so friendly like a puffer but some jerk came and beat me to it. But beware they are known coral nippers!
