Is there anything I can do to get the little bugger to stay in one place? It's been in my tank for about 1 month now but keeps wandering around. It's stopped wandering all over my tank and is at least staying on one of my big pieces of LR but enough already!!:hypnotyized: During the day it opens and is beautiful but sometime during the night it moves to another spot. It'll stay in a place for a day or two and then wander again. I tried spot feeding it when it was in a place that I liked but after 2 days it moved. I was going to wait until it settled on a spot before adding some clowns but I'm itching to get clowns in there. Will adding clowns help it settle or should I just wait the little bugger out?

Good luck. I did manage to keep mine in one spot, unfortunately that one spot was anywhere in my tank that it decided was good enough for it. I had a GBTA that seemed like it was fixing to climb out of my tank. It's in my daughter's nano now and up to the same old wonderlust activities.

I got a purple BTA from Z28PWR that wondered about a bit but finally settled beneath a shelf. It comes out during the day and retreats near evening along with the clowns. Z28, I owe you all a picture.

At any rate I got advice from everyone who was willing to listen and nothing worked for me save letting the little guy do what it wanted...

my attached to my LR and a shell on day 1.....tomatos bonded with it day one......they are in it all the time and it moves 2 inches at the most during the day i think to compenste for all the sand my female tomato kicks up ....but moves back to orginal spot by next a.m.....i love mine...this one is about 3 weeks old.....inflated most of day except about 2 hrs before lights go out, then it deflates some, i dont know if this is a coincidence or not, but the time it deflates is about the time the clowns become really active,.....good luck

I couldn't get mine to sit still in my RedSea Max either, so I had to give it away fearing it would sting my other corals. :(

Super glue?

You're kidding I hope.... Lower the flow and just let it be.

The GBTA doesn't pack much punch. Mine has gone over my zoes, mushrooms and caps with no damage. Mine wandered at first, then settled down for months. Recently it wandered to the other side of the tank and split. One went high on the back wall, one went low???

Ah, if only superglue would work!!:) I have a lot of flow in my tank so I will re-adjust the powerheads a little. Now that I think about it, it's been spending most of its time around the back of the rock where there is less flow. I think I will adjust the powerheads so there is less flow up front and maybe get it to be out where we can see and enjoy it!

It will keep moving until it gets to a spot that it likes. Once it finds the spot it likes, I wouldn't change anything in there. Everytime you raise, lower, or redirect the flow it is gonna move to find a spot if it doesn't like the change.

That's the problem, it hasn't found a spot it likes yet. I was wondering if I could do something to help it a little. I changed my flow up today to see if that helps.
