Well i decided to post my new journey. I finished plumbing/leak testing yesturday. Went and picked up about 200lbs of sand and 100lbs of live rock from B&B and is now she's up and running.
The tank is 150gal oceanic tank custom stand and canopy. I had Ace build my sump and drill/install my calfo overflow. I have right now a corallife 72 4x96w compact but plenty of room for upgrade.
Things still needed though. powerheads/heater/uv sterlizer and of course live stock after the cycle
Will post some pictures soon, which me luck

I've looked at the buckeye field's line up. really, what is the big difference in the RO units and RODI. I fully understand the concept but still would like to here others about the experiences with the 2

Need the DI to produce water with 0ppm TDS.After RO ,there is still 5%-10% TDS in the water.

yes, your RO membrane is the workhorse. it does about 98% of the work. the DI is the "polisher", it removes the other % of TDS still left. I like the satifaction of knowing i'm starting off with nothing in my water. thats one less variable to worriy about

J,
The big difference in the RO/DI from Buckeye is the service behind the product. Also, they are a Sponsor.

premium series is what i just ordered .... once you do the little upgrades to the value series it was worth getting the premium or step it up to the next level

Nice live rock. It looks really great!
Mine is a mishmash of big pieces of rubble and a few rocks that came from people selling tanks. I'm excited to have a big tank in a year and get some big pieces...

live rock is looking good. i really like that big piece of rock with multiple branches that you have in the middle............ cool part is that my tank is just 1 day older than yours, also started cycling it on may 12th... and i just added my fish in today.
