Did you just convert? If so did you acclimate your tank to the new lights? Depending on the corals you have you should see an improvement in the growth, although some lower light corals my need to be moved lower in the tank. The biggest benefit is going to be that you can now put whatever corals in the tank that you want to and not have to worry if they will have adequate lighting.

You'll definately have more options as far as coral goes. What corals do you have?

i have zoanthids, palys, and some shrooms. i had it on for about 5 hours today. the pendant is about a foot from the top of the tank. what would be the right wayt to get my coral use to the light? I dont plan on getting any sps even though i can now. i just dont like the way they look. i like my tank full of zoanthids. i have alot of different type right now. should i put my zoos that are towards the top further down? i have noticed almost all of my zoos and shrooms more extended than they have ever been.

The corals you have will not benefit from more light. In fact many of these will shrivel up unless you provide shade for them.
You can keep many other corals now that are, IMO, more beautiful and worthwhile.
While some polyps, zoanthus and mushroom are somewhat colorful, they are so easy to keep, they often survive a tank cure.

You might have a reverse problem of too much light, I would think 150mh is more than enough for a 28g. Check the requirements of each of your coral, I have all my softies on or near the floor(250w).

It also put out heat. You need to cool your tank somehow
