ripped off

i got a 250w mh without a bulb from another member, i went and paid $80 for a bulb. got home and it turned on ok. the next day it wouldnt turn on. i opened the ballast last night and looked at it and it is made for a pendant with a mogul base. i traded a perfectly working 130w pc and a skimmer for it. now i dont have a light for my tank.

I just picked up one up from Kristy for 75 bucks with a bulb 60mile round trip plus a dozen
of donuts... lol , was going to hook it up and run it, if you need a light you can have it for 100 bucks it is a mogul base retro 250 MH ... LMK... I have T5 lighting also a 4x39 36"
and a 2x39 36" both with bulbs 200 and 100 respectively

you might want to talk to the member you got it from. if it is who I think it is I know him and he has always done right by me.

Some ballasts can run both. I'd definitely bring it up to the member first.

Did you ask if it was made for mogul or HQI??? Seems like a miscommunication between you and the seller. I would have talked to them before posting on the website.

I might be intrested in one of the t5 sets if your looking to off load them that is i have 4x48" t5 for my 90g which is 20" deep and running PCs with it but want to get some added t5's less heat better lighting etc.

FOr the poster i would talk to the person in PM before calling them out also. but again that does suck

Why is it a ripped off? It work OK then stop. It may be defective now but it was OK before. Was it sold as a DE MH or fpr mogul base? You did not state this so it is some what unclear.

i tried calling for the past 2 days and left messages, no return calls. i also messaged him but no response. it was the pendant already wired to the ballast. said it works but it didn't. i went today and got a mogul pendant and it works. now i had to go spend more money. i have a 250w HQI bulb i don't need and a 250W pendant.
