Found a brittle star on my coral is it good or bad? Can they stay or shall they go?

Brittle stars are great at eating up the detritus. Is it the tiny kind ("mini brittle stars") that are smaller than a dime? Those are wonderful because they can be in every tiny crevice and can just take off in your tank.
There is one kind of brittle star you have to be cautious about and keep an eye on if it gets really big. It's one of the green ones (but not necessarily all green ones, I cannot remember all the specifics). These are known to prey upon small fishes while they sleep. If this is not what you are referring to, then you've got yourself a good thing.
