Any reason my torch is stretching out like this? The frag head is only 2" long and maybe the size of a quarter round. It's reaching a good 6". I notched down the flow and that didn't help any. The normal reach from this guy was about the size of a golf ball. Now it's softball size. ??????

I have the same kind that does the same thing under 250 halides. Just make sure there are no softies around it. LPS such as torches, frogspawns will melt shrooms really quick.

Looks good to me, I have kept one under power compacts and its doing fine. I lost a couple of heads but that was due to a moving GBTA.

I keep torch and trumpets in the corner, mostly out of direct light from 250W DE halides. They seem to do fine there. I've had them grow under just VHOs. So they don't need much light. They don't stretch like that in low light for me. Although I've seen mushrooms and zoas and things reach for the light. If it's growing, I wouldn't be alarmed.

I have 3 torches, two are neon green, one is not. The pale variety sends it's tentacles out half an inch if that. One neon green sends them an inch to 1 1/2 inches. The third extends it's tentacles at least 3 inches. I think it is just the variety.
