I have two Occellaris Clown Fish that are hosting in my GSP. I would like to give them an anenome but the only one that seems to be hardy is the bubble tip? But will they host in a bubble? I would like to get opinions on what everyone has done with success? They are in a DSA Nano with metal halide for lighting and the only other fish is a baby yellow tang.

If they host a GSP why wouldnt they like a bubble? I hear more about clowns hosting ANYthing vs. nothing.

I've heard quite a few stories of ocellaris not hosting bubble tips. But then again I've heard alot of stories stating they have. Sometimes it takes a while, sometimes they jump right in. Because it's not a natural host, there is a chance that they won't go to the bubble tip.

Got a pair hosting in a green bta right now. Mainly tried a bta since I don't have the lighting to sustain a ritteri.

Will say this though, I think it really depends on the disposition of the fish. The female wouldn't touch it for 3 months. Then I got a juvenile occelaris that took to it in 24hrs and then the female followed suit just hours later.

My clown loves his FRBTA. I had to get one cause the little fella was hosting my open brain and it wasnt too happy. Occasionally he wost host my zoos, really ticked me off

They'd probably do well with a carpet anemone.

My false percula clowns host a gbta just fine. For the first 2 days they had no interest in it so I put pictures of clowns hosting around the tank and by the end of the week both of them are all nice and comfy in their anemone.

I don't know about the bta or ocellaris for that matter, but I have a maroon clown that is hosting a condy anemone.

Mine took like 4 months to start hosting my green bta. He's loving it now.

We have several pairs of occellaris clowns. All host in RBTAs.

Of course, we have a strange RBTA that really seems to LIKE flake food...
