hey can you break a rock thats in ur tank to make it smaller and produce rubble from it? i mean i dont see why not but is that how its normally done? because i have a rock thats a little to big and i wanna make it smaller and put the rubble in my back chamber. any thoughts?

That's how i did it, make sure to rinse it out with R/O or tank water before use.

I think drilling first would give a better break off. I took a hammer to a rock and ended up disintegrating it.

I am sure you could get some from your LFS from what breaks off during shipment for cheap. There is no use breaking up a rock that costs $6/lb to make rubble you can probably buy for a lot cheaper

use a drill bit and drill random holes in a line then hit it with a hammer ...

hey guys thank you for your inputs :) i just did what yall said and took the drill and the hammer and i made enough to put in my chamber #1 and then i kinda made 2 seperate rocks from the big one :) it looks great check out the new rockscape on my build if you wanna see it :)
