Hi all. I'm currently trying to get my new 90g up and running. I have 75 lbs of live rock and was wondering if that would be enough?

Depending on what type of rock, (density) it is suggested 1.5 - 2.0 lbs. per gallon.

What's your goal with the tank. Personally when I'm planning a lot of coral I don't stick to the 1lb per gallon rule because I usually end up picking up quite a bit with some of the corals I end up buying.

Thats true, I went with that rule of thumb and ended up with too much rock. If I could do it again, I'd allow more room for coral.

I do plan on having corals....as much as I can actually! I will be doing softies, mushrooms, zoas, LPS, and I'm eventually going to try my hand with a RBTA. I already have limited amount of space for more rock, IMO. Most of the rock (80%) is Figi rock. Here's a picture of what I have now....

Looks like tons of room to me. This is a little to much rock although it works.

I love to look at troutmasters pictures, they are great! Having said that. If you are adding corals in the future, leave room for more rock. Many times the corals are on live rock and you might add 50% more rock with those softies, zoas, pallies, etc. What you have now looks perfect (to me) for being able to add corals and their rocks.

1.5lbs per gallon should be fine.
