Good afternoon folks!
I bought this zoa rock a couple of days ago with this mystery item in the center. I didn't know what it is, but I bought it along with a wall of zoas I wanted.
I went home, did a freshwater dip, and put it in the tank.
Whatever it is, it survived a freshwater dip; the pictures are two days after the dip. Could someone tell me what they think it is? I can't see the base right now with the zoas opened right now, but I will snap a picture tonight if I remember.
Thanks!

I was thinking it was a baby nem too, but it's been in the same spot since I got it, and could it have survived a freshwater dip? The dip was about 15 seconds.

Looks like majano to me! I would get it out of there, it will irritate the zoas and will eventually multiply/spread.

Thank you, everyone.
It's funny; it looked like ricordea when it was in the LFS. Now in my tank, it decides to grow longer tentacles. What a tease!
Time to find some Joe's Juice...

I think it looks like a mushroom. My motto is 'mysteries must die'.

I managed to get a few more pics of the mysterious mojano. There are only a handful of pics of this specie on the web so I thought I'd post. I haven't found a pic of mojano with these tentacles though...
Check out the following two posts because it's open in those...

I thought that at first, but it's definitely a positive ID on majano. It was tough to find pics on the net because people spell it different ways. I found google image search keyword "majano" found the best results for matches.
Even though called a pest, I'll see if I can control the guy's growth and limit the population to just one. I may regret it later, hehe.

Yep, you can definitely tell in the latest pictures. The bubbly tips were throwing me off.
