For the past year I have been feeding my fish Piscine Frozen Mysid. I'd like to diversify their diet so I picked up some H2O Life Fish & Reef #1.
When I would feed my fish the mysid they were grow crazy, like piranha circa 1980 style. When I used the Fish & Reef #1 the fish didn't seem all that interested. Some of them nipped at it but spit it back out. Does it usually take a while for them to get used to a different food source?
Also, what would be the best way to feed the fish the Fish & Reef #1? I would thaw the frozen mysid, rinse it off, then drop a few in the tank at a time. With the Fish & Reef #1 it seems to be very fibrous, like a cotton ball. I'm afraid that if I rinse it all the nutritious stuff will be washed away.
