Before I go to the store and buy new

There seems to always be someone who has weights but does not use them. I currently am maxed out and have all my weights on the bench bar. I use the cap weights that go on a 15lb bar, if you have any let me know. Also any barbells would be great.

If you have either or something else let me know how much $$ you want for them.

Prefer you to be in SA.

Wish I could help, but if you do go buy weights I would suggest that you go olympic. I've got over 400 lbs in weight in my garage and two 45lbs olympic bars. Definitely the way to go.

Besides those 15lbs bars tend to bend in the middle...:bareteeth:

Dude, I should have thought about this yesterday. I can't use both bars, if you ever want to trade up to olympic weights you are welcome to one of my 45lbs bars.

PM if you're interested, free of charge.

LOL, im assuming you are joking. Free weights is a term basically for loose weights. Barbells/dumbelss etc... You get better results because you isolate individual muscels and have to work harder. Unlike using a universal machine or something that help you control the movement and makes the weight feel lighter.

Well, not sure if I completely agree with free weights isolating individual muscles.

But you are 100% correct on the bennies of free weights over the machines. Machines allow, or force you to isolate a single muscle in some cases. Fly machine for example will work your pecs and can really do a number on them. Free weight flys will work the same muscle... in addition to all of the stabilizer muscles needed to balance and move those weights through the full range of muscles.

Another disadvantage of machines is the lack of symetry (sp?). Case in point, barbell free weight, you have to balance the bar with equal attention to both arms... whereas a machine (particularly the cheap ones) can allow you to use one arm more than the other.

All that being said, yeah he was only joking.
