BTA....??

I got a BTA frag from the TMAC raffle and am worried about it. It has moved around from place to place since I put it in my tank but is totally deflated during the day when the lights are on. At night when the lights are off it inflates pretty big but the minute I turn on the lights it deflates. Is this normal while it's healing?

lights maybe to much for her right now. leave lights off for a day or two. everything will be ok.

Won't that tick off my fish and other corals?

not really just think of it as a very cloudy day out on the reef. the light from the room will make it seem as a cloudy day.

Mine behaved in much the same way the first week or so I had it. I think if you are patient, your BTA will find its happy place.

Just don't forget to feed it.

But don't feed it right away...

Give it time. It will be especially intolerant of light at first. It may take a couple or 3 weeks until it can eat. And make sure you don't have anything it can get stuck on/in (overflow, seios, powerheads, drains, etc), because it will find them. Once it settles in, it will likely stay in one place.
