dead toadstool?

I'm not sure if this toadstool is a goner. When I picked it up stuff fell off of it. So I gave it a shake and it looks like pieces of tissue are falling off the bottom side. Also, I washed my hands thoroughly but I can't get the fishy smell off my fingers. Should I get it out before it fouls my tank?

yup its dead. run carbon. and water change. would this be a piece of toadstool that calfo cut up.

I believe so. It came from the raffle frags and it is only the top part.
