Sorry to hear about that... Make sure you do some good water changes. More than likely pods and all the small little critters will die. Lots of carbon like you plan afterwards. You got it well planned. GOt the bugs once, it wasnt fun. GOod luck

they should be fine - the only thing that will not do well will be the blue leg hermits. scarlet hermits and cleaner shrimp usually do ok - they just look a little drunk for a while :) if you catch them and remove them, you should keep them out of the tank for two weeks after the treatment.

I treated my tank with Interceptor and my tigertail cucumbers and feather dusters did just fine.

Make sure you turn your skimmer off and remove carbon before adding the magic pill. Also in my experience the water change afterward is not necessary. I would also let the interceptor run through the system for 12 hours before placing your skimmer back online. I've always left carbon out of the system for 24 hours and then ran it continually until it was time to treat again. I've never lost a coral, fish or snail from this method of treatment. My emerald crabs did turn completely white but recovered after a few months.

How much should I be dosing in my 170gal (total system volume), I am planning a 3 week dosing regimine. I already know the yellow tabs, just not sure how many/how much I should be dosing.

Thanks in advance,

I did a whole tablet (big dog pill) for a 260g total volume, so 1/2 to 3/4 tablet for you.
