What's this???

Last night I noticed this coming out of my bubble coral. What is it? The lights had been off for the night so the coral itself is contracted. During the day it's big and beautiful. I have never seen that brown "string-like" thing before. I was there for only a few mintues then broke away.

IME, I believe is coral waste (poop). I seen this w/LPS several hours after having a hearty meal.

It could be brown sliming (I think its this because a lot of people just can't keep bubble coral alive) or getting rid of waste? If it is brown sliming a coral dip or lugols iodine dip should help. I hope its just getting rid of waste.

It must have been poop!:whew: The coral itself is big and beautiful! Thanks. I just didn't think that the poop would be so sting like...it looked like sewing thread.
