Those of you who have had several different types of skimmers. Which in your experience were the quietest. I'm looking for a replacement for my asm g2 with a sedra 5000.

It really depends on what you are wanting, and of course the size of the tank. If noise is a bid factor, dont go with beckett style skimmers. I am very happy with all euro-reefs i have used. I have seen the bubble kings in action and they are awesome skimmers. You cant go wrong with a needlewheel skimmer, they are great and nice and quiet.

I'm wanting something quieter than what I have. I read that the sicce pump on the msx uses less wattage than the sedra. Anyone use a skimmer with a sicce pump?

Wow, that is expensive. Does it have some new type of technology or is it just built better?

I am using an Octopus Extreme with 2 sicce pumps , they are very quiet when they working right. I am having problem with one of them right now , it having a hard time to restart after power outrage (have alot of that lately in Converse:bareteeth: )
