Hi everyone, I just wanted to share the progress of my reef tank we set up on Sunday. After four long days of setting up our tank it finally looks like it is all coming together. The rock work alone took me 5 hours. I tried to finish it before my husband arrived from work to avoid giving him a panic attack. I transfered everything from my 30 gallon. I didn't realize how much stuff I had until I started moving everything over.

Thank you everyone hopefully it will stay up.............:whew:
I hate to ask this question but, is the rock work secured or just well balanced?
I like the way you stacked it up. Lots of nooks and crannies for all your critters.

Thanks everyone. Hey Rob, it is a 260 gallon tank with corner overflows (yup from a 30 gallon to a 260). Well, the rock work was first well balanced. Then with a little help from a PVC stand I gave it a little support. The base is Fiji live rock then stacked with Garf Rock (love it). I put a PVC pipe stand in back of the rock work but the only thing it is holding is two pieces of rock on top. One piece of Garf Rock had a hole so I just slipped it in the PVC. Then on the very top the Fiji rock also had a hole and I placed it on the tip of the PVC. The Fiji rock is very heavy so it almost compresses everything together and gives it some support. My husband always freaks out when I do the rock work. I did the rock work for our 600 gallon and it hasn’t scratched the tank or killed any fish yet….lol

The light consists of three 150 Watt HQI metal halides and four 96 Watt power compacts for atinic support.
Sorry Scorpino, it was a sweet deal I could not pass it up. And it was my birthday gift. We had been looking for a tank for a while since I ran out of space in my 30 gallon.
I am waiting to run across a beautiful anemone to fill the big hole on the right side of the tank for my clowns (if it stays). Maybe a carpet. I made the whole a little bigger then it is showing on the picture below.
If anyone has any suggestions on placing my corals that would be extremely helpfull.
Thank you for all the compliments guys. I don't think anyone can pay me enough to do this for a living. All I can say is "STACK AND PRAY" lol

Update:
Well, it didn't take very long to fill this tank up. I wanted to post a update pic of my tank. I think I need a upgrade already:blushing:. I really can't wait for everything to start growing. Anyone have miracle grow for corals? It drives me crazy to see them sllooowwwwlly growing.
