Hey MAAST! ^_^
I've been looking around the forums here, and have seen excessive amounts of extremely useful information! I guess I'm finally making an introduction. :P

My name is Brooks. I'm 15, and I live in Austin, TX. I've had a 75g tank set up for almost two years now. Though in the past few months, I've just recently started to add corals. I guess you could say I just had a FOWLR.

In the past two or so months, I've learned so much about reef keeping, and how challenging yet fulfilling it can be. As I see many tanks that have flourished, I can only wish that mine would do the same.

I maintain my tank 100% by myself. I do my own testing, water changes, do all the cleaning; you know! The fun stuff!! :)

My parameters tend to stay pretty level. I try and keep my calcium at 460 ppm, and my kH at around 11 ppm.

Here are some pictures of my tank :) :

If you're wondering what that large mesh contraption is lurking over my Goniopora, it's to keep the A. Oscillaris from getting inside it. At least until I find a suitable host anemone.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you! :bighug:

Good start there!

What kind of equipment do you have running on your tank?

Hey guys :) thanks for the warm welcome!!
Equipment: skimmer(red sea I believe); 4 46" t5 bulbs; 75g tank; sump/refug; I'm not sure on the specifics of the equipment. A bad thing, I know. :(
Livestock: one spot foxface, 2 a. Oscillaris, 1 green chromis, a firefish, a blue devil damsel.
Corals: goniopora stoski, green mushrooms, orange zoanthids, 1 orange plate coral (montipora I believe), green birdsnest, purple plasma, and a tricolor acro recovering from a rather nasty lta sting.

Nice tank, its coming along really nice. Congratulations. Tell us a bit more of your maintenance routine

As far as maintenance, I do a 20% water change every month. I clean out the sump, and skimmer every 130 days. For supplementing, I have a routine of chemicals added weekly to maintain my water parameters. Calcium and Mg supplements are added on a 7 day basis. Phytoplankton is added dosed monthly. I feed my fish every two days. Every two months, I add an Ick Removal to their food, just to take precaution.
For top-off, I usually have to fill it up every 3 days. However, every two weeks, I change up the top-off between saltwater and freshwater to maintain my salinity at 1.0265.

My parameters:
Ammonia - Undetectable
Calcium - 460 ppm
kH - 12 ppm
Nitrate - 5 ppm
Nitrite - Undetectable
Phosphate - Undetectable
pH - 8.2
Temperature - 80-82

Oh, for lighting I do use a IceCap 4 x 54w T5 HO's.
I keep all my SPS high up.
