I want to know if anyone knows of a hang on skimmer that would do a great job on a 70 gallon corner tank?
its a predator tank so it gets messy and I would love to have a great skimmer.
I have a corallife and really don't like it...

I've heard good things about the AquaC Remora line of skimmers. They have a pro model which is supposed to handle a reef tank up to 120 gallons. Here is their website...

Never had a HOB but the Remora/Remora Pro seem to get a lot of good reviews. The Deltecs are supposed to be "the best" but pricey, although there was recently one in the for sale forum here not too long ago. Don't know if it's still available.

ive owned almost every HOB skimmer on the market and the only one i would put on a 70 would be a deltec mce600, it is a huge step up from everything else on the market, an octopus/dual bakpak would likely be a distant second

I think Biocube has a deltec HOB (MCE300?) for sale. Even if it's rated less, it's a Deltec.

the mce300 is a good skimmer, but i wouldnt call it a great skimmer. a lot of people think since it is the 300 it is half as good as the 600. its not even close, totally different design.
