I like the tank, and you have some amazing corals. It will look really nice once it fills in, I would just say give the corals some room to grow, or get rid of some frags and send them my way. lOL

I think the Mohawks are floating around some place in Corpus. I'm pretty much down to PPEs and PDs as my only palys.

Gotta love the purple deaths... There is my wish list, along with some nuclear greens, watermelons, army of gods and some nice deep water palys. Where do you guys get your palys?

Check with Stoneroller or Mike Delgado as they are kind of the local Zoa/Paly gurus.

Hey Andy, your collection is great man!!!! Now you need some troughs, and a website!
I too am in the market for some NukieGreenDeaths! Stone, if you happen to have any, I have those ScoobyShrooms! If you forgot, send me a PM and I'll send you a pic.

PMd ya Scorp.
It's hard to believe it's just a 72 gallon tank! What are those "plates" on the sandbed you are growing LPS out on? Point? Shots?
stoneroller
Wed, 11th Mar 2009, 11:39 PM
They look more like taco shells and I see some up in the rockwork too.
andysgr
Wed, 11th Mar 2009, 11:43 PM
Those are my world famous "Taco Stone Grey Putty plates" that I use to grow out corals. It makes them easier to cut up later. Please nobody steal the nake as I am in the process of copyrighting it.

Wed, 11th Mar 2009, 11:46 PM
I'd rather steal the coral!! The taco shape allows it to settle into the rockwork?

Thanks Jim! I just try to make the shapes of the "Taco Stone Grey Putty plates" a bit irregular in shape. It does keep them from falling.

Thu, 12th Mar 2009, 08:59 PM
Well, what do you make them out of? Two part epoxy putty from...?
andysgr
Thu, 12th Mar 2009, 09:47 PM
Aquastick Epoxy. I'm not sure where I bought them on line. I searched and found the cheapest whatever it was. Around $8 per.

I find all the Tyree goodies on Reef Farmers (.com). He is always adding new really cool stuff. Finding the corals for sale is another trick but I have found some good people that can often get me what I'm looking for. Check out the Mia's Pot of Gold at Reef Farmers as it is really beautiful.

great looking corals Andy!! It looks like you really have the colors popping on your sps.Give me a call sometime ,I would love to hear about your routine. btw you are going to love that ppe chalice/favia/chavia its a stunner
andysgr
Sun, 15th Mar 2009, 02:39 PM
Thanks Mike! I would love to take all the credit but many of the corals have been photographed shortly after coming out of other peoples tanks. I have found improvements in the colors of my corals since upgrading my skimmer, adding T5 actinic and using several of the Zeovit products.
Do you also have the PPE Chavia Mike?

Sun, 15th Mar 2009, 07:43 PM
sweet!, I got my piece of chavia a few months back from that richard guy. It has doubled in size so its visable to the naked eye now, 2 eyes and really purdy.
