BOD Minutes 7-24-08

I. Non-Profit status: Now in the hands of the attorney. Projected to be completed in 45-60 days.
II. $1000 paid to attorney, an additional $500 due upon completion (to be confirmed)
III. BOD Participation. Policy on BOD meeting attendance enacted, motion to remove profntbtr on grounds of attendance policy and lack of involvement, majority votes yes, motion carries.
IV. Possible new BOD members discussed, poll created in BOD forum as to a replacement for profntbtr. Unanimous vote to contact DrMark to become new BOD member.
V. Proposed Monthly Picture Contest to temporarily replace the spot on the website for TOTM (due to lack of submissions) until we get TOTM rolling again. Winner to receive a MAAST T-Shirt. Unanimous vote of Yes.
VI. MACNA reimbursement for attending BOD members: $250 for each attending member to help offset costs.
VII. Approval for $100 Expenditure for Sponsorship Committee and Events Coordinator to send out MAAST Christmas “Thank You” cards to sponsors, Speakers/Host and MACNA Contacts. Unanimous vote of Yes
VIII. Approximately 140 Charter Members
Finances as of 7/24/08:
PayPal $ 1,172.24 less $500 I transferred to Savings today making PP total $671.24
Savings: after $500 transfer - total will be $1,117.07 (we just pulled $1,000 out for non profit)
Checking Acct $4,007.22
CD sitting at $6,551.37
