IV. ISSUES/TOPICS UNDER
DISCUSSION:
A. Non Profit Status - Possibly hire a CPA to get this rolling and in correct order to recive non-profit status
B. New T-shirt contest - Brian will do some research about using www.worth1000.com as a way to get new ideas for a tee-shirt logo. - See how much it cost and all details
C. Need of Forum Moderators - we need to seek extra help in moderating - seek help from charter members
D. Christmas Party - Roy was going to post to see how our members would receive a Christmas party and possible how many would come to it, a possible date and time.
E. Sponsorships & Updates - SteveK needs to come up with a sponsorship Committee Charter Statement. - As well as a LFS Sponsorship agreement. - need to see if we can change the MAAST Forum to have individual links for sponsors so that only sponsors could post.
F. Speakers - possible exchange speakers with Isis and need to line out speakers - possible exchange with other sister clubs also
G. Newsletter - BOD still wants a newsletter even if it is a cheesy one have topics such as "whats going in the club" , congrats to members for certain things and put sponsors on the newsletter. - Newsletter could be quarterly. - Need people to work on the newsletter
H. Education - RamPuppy is working on this along with Gary and the Wiki software
I. TOTM - Need more people to submit tanks
J. Upgrading Hosting Site - Chris is looking into possible solutions for hosting problem - Jason said he could possible help in this area
K. Port-A Trip - need to see if BigBird is going to take over this?
L. Inventory Audit - setup for a possible twice a year inventory audit and on a side not need to see if we could purchase a small storage place to store inventory and help Gary get it out of his storage. - More than one BOD could have a key to the storage place .
M. MACNA - setup a possible raffle for the tickets at a cost of $5 per ticket - need to decide if we want to sponsor MACNA a table there cost $600 maybe have sister clubs involved also. - need to start thinking about our own MACNA bid for 2008
O. Possible Budget Committee - possible find members that have a background in this area and who could keep up with the budget and taxes so forth. - Possible CPA to get Non-profit status resolved
P. ISIS - agreed that linking to our WIKI to MARSH is a good thing and
could be moderated by Rampuppy and as long as our WIKI had a MAAST logo at the top.
Q. MAAST History Statement - Needs to be worked on
R. Mentor Program - needs more ideas but a good overall idea
S. Gary - post to see if we can get members to help out other committees such as people that can call potential sponsors during the day time that have good phone skills but that aren't sales people. Also need to find someone to do come up with Polls and handle polls.
T. Paypal - needs to be a minimum of $400 in at all times U. Gator - Need to get Gators address in order to get him his check
