I. CURRENT FINANCES:
A. Checking Account: 2,613.97
II. NEW BOARD MEMBERS:
A. Need to read "By Laws" on Home Page to become familiar
B. Cannot miss 3 meetings/yr
III. BORNEMAN MEETING:
A. MAAST originally committed $200
B. Tim to "find" location - says not to worry - to run by us right before
C. Need to use to promote MAAST to members & non members
1. Possible table selling T-Shirts?
D. Topic is understood to be "Reef Savers"
E. Make a posting on MARSH
F. Need to watch working with Tim - Rules UP FRONT
G. MAAST can help out - it it our meeting
IV. MACNA 2006:
A. Moved deadline to March 1st
B. Would need a theme (exp. - Propagation, Saving Reefs, etc)
C. Would need to decide weekend we could do?
D. MACNA suggested not to conflict with Saltwater hobby events
E. Traditionally held in hotel (near airport/downtown) or alternative?
E. Have "listing" available of things to do in San Antonio
F. BOD Members need to go online & check out responsibilities
1. Long term commitment
2. Location, catering, transportation
G. Chris P. has MACNA "website" setup - just holding
V. MODERATING:
A. Possibly have a moderator for each section
B. Start topic in "Directors & Dignitaries) to setup moderators in each section
C. Need to state if something is moved
D. Members "can't see" Junkyard
E. Chris P. to set up "Rules" for moderating - consistency needed
F. Chris P. to set up an "Emergency Forum" - Majority vote BOD
VI. WEBSITE / EQUIPMENT:
A. Cost for hosting website: $12.99 month - can only use credit card for payment
B. Possible Bank Change instead of change of host - Security Service doesn't have a good "business" setup available
1. Blake (treasurer) & Misti to check into
2. Chris to check wit Adam to see if he is still OK with using his CC for hosting fee.
C. Chris P wants to increase host services to around $20 a month if possible - more band width / advantages
D. Need "graphic Artist" to help with site - Gary P to check on...
VII. UPCOMING EVENTS AND SPEAKERS:
A. FinAddicts Meeting went great - large turnout
B. $40 limit on food reimbursement on monthly meetings
1. put in writing
2. package for sponsors, members for meetings -OR- MAAST provides snacks and drinks
C. Steve & Alex to make contact with potential Sponsors and Sponsor Renewals.
D. FinAddicts banner - their responsibility for banner - needs to be on Sponsor's list - make sure
E. MAAST has worked hard to make sponsors happy - give up on "seeking" events at LFS - except frag swaps as far as "hosted meetings"
F. Alex & Steve to send banner sizes & limits - will discuss Sponsor Fees - goods & services ONLY
G. Premium Sponsors & Low End Sponsors
H. Current Sponsors: Aquatek, AguaFX, FinAddicts, CBPets
I. Steve to start thread on "Sponsor Pkg"
