View Full Version : Checking interest on my Acrylic 190 - whole system

If there's any interest I will detail all parts included and come up with a price. Tank is 60" long by 30" wide by 24" tall and has some scratches, but as you know they can be buffed out of acrylic (I don't know how so don't ask). I'm not hurting for money so serious inquiries only, I'm just starting to lose interest again and getting a little tired of my cyclical interest patterns (sure wish I would have figured this out before drilling holes in the wall AGAIN) and wife wants to finally get the downstairs tiled (would trade tile work for tank). I would consider a smaller corner tank system in trade simply so I can keep my RBTA and a pair of clowns though.

Most recent pics but I will take updated shots again if there is any interest:

This is what it looked like during setup, I've since put a very basic "skin" and trim on the stand and built doors which the kids stained with the wrong color stain while I was at work, but I'd be willing to build and stain new doors to match if you like.

EDIT: I think I returned all the PMs, if not then hit me again.

how much are you asking for the tank?

I haven't given it much thought, paid $500 for the tank and a sump alone IIRC so we can start from there. It's worth more but has some blemishes, you may notice some melted spots on the middle bottom so we got a good deal from the original tank builder. It's covered up by the stand trim but could be a turn off for some buyers.

You probably could have talked me out of it. You gimme a good deal on the tile labor?

Man I been hanging on to that RBTA for a LONG time, original split came from Rudy (oceancube) and still going. It's grown and shrunk and glowed and dulled out and bulbed and tubed but always made it through all my tanks no matter what. It's the only thing that keeps me in the hobby, I think I have to keep it or I'll be gone for good.

I think you should keep it and stop the cycle. The tank has great dimensions, your rock work looks awesome, and every tank you have turns out to be incredible.

Keep it.

lol you're probably right but I want to buy so much other stuff right now all at once. I'd hate to get rid of some of that rock, there's a few HUGE flat pieces that I really like.

More PMs returned. I will go ahead and break everything out tomorrow.

There's a good bit of interest in a bunch of stuff so I'm going to break everything down and come up with an asking price for the whole thing and combos for like all the hardware minus livestock, rocks, sand, etc. I'll let you know ASAP.

I'm really sorry for the delay guys but here's a list of what's included. I'm figuring (quick rough estimate) everything should be worth about $1,500-$1,650 if I part out, not including rock and fish/corals because I'm keeping them (will have leftover rock, just dunno how much of it). I'm really looking for someone to grab the entire thing and would let it go for $1,250 without shedding too many tears but if you want to come look at it and make an offer for all or part I'm open to it. If you've got a corner tank to trade, something like a 72g or 92g lemme know. If you want most of the system but don't need certain things let me know and we'll discuss it because I've got PMs for most items separately and I could use some stuff on the corner tank. I may end up parting it out, but not sure just yet and would need a temporary home for my critters while I did so. I'm trying to get pics, but my phone keeps rebooting when I email them, standby.

Skimmer, about 5' tall beckett built by me, 6" main tube, nothing special but skims well.

PanWorld NH 150-PS running the skimmer

40 gallon barrel for top-off water, etc.

70 watt halide pendent, lamp (14kk phoenix), ballast, etc for 'fuge, currently not in use

big Sump with built-in 'fuge

Sequence Dart pump, small crack on outlet but running without so much as a drop of water leaking and no salt creep, etc.

Quiet One pump currently on the return, think it's 500gph

PC pendent fixture, 3x32 watt needs a couple lamps, currently lighting 'fuge

2x 400 watt Hamilton halide ballasts with quick disconnect plugs

2x Lumenmax reflectors, I think they're Lumenmax... they look like Lumenarcs or something

2x 400 watt XM lamps, probably need to be replaced but I'm still using them and corals color looks normal

Tank/stand, 60x30 footprint 1/2" thick Acrylic tank built by some dude in Austin years ago, sat in my garage for a couple years until finally setting up a few months back

Aquarium Journals log book, unused

I got two of the pics, waiting on skimmer pics to come through. Please note the stand doors were stained the wrong color by some well-intended kids while I was at work so they are currently detached, there are doors on each side of the tank also. I will be building new doors and staining them the proper color unless you're just gonna redo the stand anyway.
