I have 3 separate rocks with some encrusting gorgonians on them. The rocks are pretty small and the frags are approx. 1 or 2 inches. The polyps are extended and happy.

Will be willing to trade for some zoos (no orange, green or brown zoos, I have those).

Or trade for something??? softies, cool colored ricordia or shrooms?

Or sell for $10 per frag.

My phone cam is not taking clear pictures so I included a pic of what it does look like.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks

no it's not...if you touch this, it retracts similar to green star polyps. You can slight see the base...it's similar in the way it grows.

Which brings me to this question. How can you tell the difference between an encrusting gorgonian and a star polyp? I've got something in my tank that looks like a GSP, but it's not that dark purple color, it's more like this...and the polyps are more like this and only show a slight hint of green when only the actinics are on.

Sorry to hijack this, but I figured I'd add my question after sticking up for ya LOL.

woah, didn't see all the traffic on this subject. I would post my own pics, but my phone cam, is well, a phone cam and it just doesn't come out very clear. GSP has a hint of green on the tips, these do not. The ones I have are a light pink color. When you touch them, like the GSP, they'll retract into their mat. I'll see if I can borrow a friends camera and take some real pics for y'all. Oh, and like GSP, they'll grow over anything, so if you decide to get one of these, be sure to keep it apart from your main rocks/coral or you'll be regretting it. I have this stuff growing on the back part of my tank like a carpet. Looks cool, but I have to be watchful to make sure it don't jump onto any rocks.
