Does any one use this attachement for the magna float? Does it work well to scrape the coraline algea?

Yes, and YES!!!

We use the "EZ Blade" brand scraper attachment (not sure if that is the one you show above, but it looks exactly the same) and it makes a world of difference. So easy to scrape off the coraline and whatever else you need to get cleaned off the glass. Got ours from B & B but not sure if he still has them in stock. We get our refills from Marine Depot, only because we cannot seem to find anyone who can get them locally. Do a search for threads on here about EZ blade.

Yes. It works just like it's advertised. It's almost fun to let the glass get really dirty or covered in corralline just to get to wipe it off.

I would recommend getting a new MagFloat at the same time so your attaching it to a new clean surface. And NEVER leave it in the water. It will rust. I rinse mine off with RO water and dry it, and the blade seems to last forever.

They have a new SS blade for these but they only sell them in 5 packs and I still wouldn't leave it in water. My try one out if I ever need to replace mine but well worth the money.

Does anyone else have problems with scratching glass if sand or other particles get caught in between the magna float?

I take a tooth brush and clean the parts that touch the glass.
