I am trying to decide on powerheads for my 70 gallon (36x18x24). Which would be better 2 tunze 6045 or 1 vortech mp40. Thanks for replies ahead of time.

Personally, I would go with the vortech mp40 gen 2.

I have no experience with the tunze's, but I did just get the vortech mp40w gen2. With pulse mode on a 180 gallon tank I can get a wave around 1/2 inch. It has the entire tank swaying with the current.

Vortech all the way. I have had mine for a wile and it is awesome. Lots of flow, and built in controller.

Im biased so Ill say vortech! have two on my 75g though. Tunze are not bad, as long as theyre controllable. They both have excellent customer service

I just tuned mine yesterday, I've got a nice ~3/4" wave going in my nano right now :D
