Interest in Zoa Order/Zoapalooza [Archive]

Hey everyone,
I found a Vendor that we can Purchase a Group order of Zoas. I spoke with Chad (ZoaMania,) this morning, the orders must be in multiples of 25 frags. (Each Frag is guaranteed to have at least 5 polyps to a maximum of 10 polyps.) For 25 Zoa Frags the cost is $300., for 50 frags $600. This equals out to $12 a frag. Frags are guaranteed to be Ultras and High Color. (I will also post pictures of Zoas they sell later.)
If there is plenty of interest, I plan on completing the order, the first week of March.
Once shipment arrives, pick up of frags would be at my house at a designated time, either Saturday or Sunday. Each person will be given a ticket for each frag purchased, and once ticket is drawn, the owner of ticket will pick their frag.
What do ya'll think?

I like it but is there anyway to prevent us from getting something we already have if this is a ticket type system? IE I already have eagle eyes or am I misunderstanding the ticket thing?

You will chose the frag of your choice. The frags will come on plugs, when ticket is pulled with your number, you will choose frag from tank.

So the ticketing system is an impartial way of determining who gets which frag in the case of duplicates? I'm interested.

Gary, I am not going to pick and choose the order, they will send me what they have, that is already propagated. Chad ensured that we would receive Ultras and High Colored Zoas of their pick.
Also, I wanted to ensure, that everyone understands that are to able to purchase more than frag.

I will place the orders once ALL PAYMENTS are received. Payments can be made at the end of next week. Final date of payment received will be 3/4/2009. I will post Paypal address, or I will meet one time on 3/1/2009 at Aquarium Designs and B&B.(Time to be determined later) You can also PM me for address, if you need to make other payment arrangements.
Once ordered, shipment will arrive 24hours later. I will keep all posted.
Each can post on this thread, quantity of Zoa frags wanted, I will update, as each payment is received.
If this "Buy" goes well and organized, I plan on trying to organize others, possibly monthly.

I would be interested in going in on some frags.

Anyone interested in a co-op of growing them out and then halfing them when they double their numbers. I am in Austin, so pickup immediatley would not be an option anyhow. More variety that way for both persons.

It doesn't sound like the drawing will work by number or sequence. It would seem to operate by random chance as each ticket is pulled. I would guess that those not present would have their tickets withheld from the drawing unless other arrangements are made. After the main drawing, the tickets withheld could go back into the bucket for another drawing later.

Just my two cents.

Are you still selling some of it? I just got my africans a new home so I am working on setting up my 55 and need some. PM me if you don't mind.

Taylor it was really nice meeting you, and glad your frags are nicely colored. Can't wait til the next group order. I am thinking rics or sticks (SPS). I have a good buy on the rics, and waiting for some pricing on the sticks.
